THE HAPPINESS RETREAT
"WHAT YOU SEEK, IS SEEKING YOU" - RUMI
What is ‘happiness’?
When it comes to happiness, how are you doing?
Happiness is…
A heroic win!
Doing really cool stuff with really cool people;
A truly engaging and uplifting conversation;
Seeing into the eyes of my newborn for the very first time;
Watching the sunset with my beloved;
A profound meditative experience;
Being completely absorbed in a creative activity;
Goofing around with the family;
Receiving a noteworthy award (especially when it is unexpected!);
Dancing in the rain;
Securing that life-changing career or client;
The joy of seeing a loved one doing well;
Giving and receiving kindness from strangers.
I know impactful executives with high-profile careers who, despite their achievements, rate their happiness at about a 2 on a scale of 0 to 10. I know social media influencers who, despite their significant followings, carry an undercurrent of anxiety; always feeling pressured to appear happy and fearing that their next post won’t receive enough likes. Too often, we respond with a superficial 'I’m fine!' and a distracted smiley emoji. Meanwhile, there are orphans living in mud huts in Kolkata who likely experience greater happiness.
In our fast-paced world, full of demands and uncertainties, true happiness can feel elusive.
It's either happiness, or a longing for happiness
The Happiness Retreat is a sincere deep dive into the essence of happiness. Over two transformative days, in a serene and beautiful setting, you’ll embark on a journey of self-discovery, where lightness meets depth, playfulness greets the profound, connections unfold naturally, and wisdom emerges from the collective.
Through engaging exercises, reflective practices, and heart-centered conversations, we will explore the many dimensions of happiness. We will nourish our body, mind and spirit with the real meaning of a ‘Happy Meal’.
In the end, you will return home with a “Ah yes! I had forgotten about that” and ready to make 2025 a truly Happy New Year!
